Things Learned at Work
In the ongoing list of things that I have learned from working at the libraries public computer area the most recent is the first that I think qualifies as a physical lesson. I believe it goes something like this:
Yes comfortable swivel chairs can be a lot of fun, but sitter beware that you do not try a complex twirl and dismount when you are sitting too close to the edge of a desk or table. Trying to remove yourself from your seat in this manner may lead to unfortunate knee smashing of varying degree (anywhere from minor bruising to potential crippling). Manufacturers of comfortable swivel chairs cannot be held responsible for improper chair dismounting.
This lesson was provided at the expense of me left knee which is in some serious pain this afternoon.
